Old rides - Thames Freighter
This van belonged to a friend of mine - pictured (the brother of the guy I brought the Escort van from).
We had a lot of fun in this van and I learnt a lot while helping the owner build it.
I can't remember all the details of the van (was a very long time ago), but in the end we had put a 289 Ford V8 into it, three stage auto, not sure of the diff, steel rear flares, Mickey Thompson tyres and of course the 8inch roof chop (think it was eight). In this picture the roof chop was tack welded and the front hadn't been extended yet. The rear panels and back door were panelled again.
These are the only photos I have of this van, I don't think it was 100% finished, instead was swapped for something.
The picture to the left (before the roof chop) already had the V8 and flares added, the only picture I have before this work done to it is spotted (water damaged) and isn't worth showing.
